Before we can place your implant restoration, we will arrange for a periodontist or oral surgeon to perform the surgical portion of the implant procedure. The specialist will insert a small metal post into your jaw, below the gum line. At this point, a temporary denture will be affixed to the post for the duration of the healing process. The denture can be fixed in place or removable.

After a few months, the post is ready to act as a new "root" or anchor for a custom-made prosthetic tooth. Dr. Rosen or Dr. Dworkin will remove your temporary denture and attach the restoration.
